About Dr. Paul Nassif

Dr. Paul Nassif is an internationally celebrated facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He’s also a celebrity and the star of E!’s reality TV, Botched, which highlights his pioneering techniques and remedies for complex and extreme plastic surgeries gone wrong.

Known as the doctor Trusted with Noses Worldwide®, his work includes revision rhinoplasty procedures and an anti-gravity facelift—also known as the “Beverly Hills Facelift®.” He is also the director of a fellowship training program, accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which instructs young facial plastic surgeons in his innovative surgical techniques, particularly in the area of rhinoplasty.

If you weren’t in the skin care industry, what would you be doing?

Professional Golfer or Home Builder. I would love to be a professional golfer unfortunately I don’t have the talent!

What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

The morning basics which are boring….   Brush teeth, gargle, shower but # one is always brush teeth.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

If you want anything in life, you have to work very hard to get it… and don’t take no for an answer.

What’s on your bucket list right now?

Travel the world, have another child, become an incredible golfer and be able to relax and enjoy life more than I do.

Where’s the last place you travelled to?

Park City Utah, for a medical meeting.     It is very important to continue to learn and also share my facial surgical techniques with others

Why did you start “NassifMD Dermaceuticals™”?

Because I am a facial plastic surgeon, I see the skin from inside out.    I visibly see the damage caused by free radicals, oxidation, inflammation and stress in the many layers of the skin.  This results in dry, dehydrated skin that lacks elasticity – without elasticity skin doesn’t stretch makes performing a facelift very difficult.  Prior to any facelift I would send my patients home with a 4-6 week exfoliation/hydration regiment to improve the skins health and allow for a more successfully surgical outcome.   As it turns out, my patients loved the regiment so much that they asked if they could continue to purchase the products – and NassifMD Dermaceuticals was born!

Share one tip for someone looking to switch up their skin care routine.

No matter what you do with skincare is to exfoliate.  All products will perform better once the layer of dead skins cells has been removed.

Share your skin care secrets with us. What are the must-have products?

Three aspects of skincare, exfoliate, moisturize/anti-oxidants and hydration (to lock in the moisture). If you do this every day you’re on the path to great looking skin. Of course,  SPF is important, drink lots of water and avoid smoking.
