Fall is that time of year when many of us are inspired to turn over a new leaf and really shine.  And that aspirational luster is evident in one of this season’s hottest trends. 

At TSC, we’re calling the look “Star Studded”—and with special guest, American actress/ singer and now fashion designer Vanessa Williams in the house for our next  “Style Matters”,  things are bound to get mighty dazzling. 

Vanessa will be launching her wonderful new collection, with enough sexy jumpsuits, dramatic wrap dresses and sequined little jackets to satiate the superstar in us all. 

The glossy glam trend is also evident in all the polished leather accessories that abound, and some of Ron White’s flashy fab footwear is no exception.  Wait til you see his lace up quilted and studded booties with the gold chain detailing! We’re also excited to host one of the Canadian design scene’s brightest young stars, Hilary MacMillan, who’s launching her ‘80s inspired collection this week.  Hilary’s shiny vegan leather jackets and coats are totally empowering.  Her iridescent moto jacket is one of the best statement-making pieces I’ve seen in a long time, and simply screams “rockstar chic”. 

Like so much of what’s good in fashion, this “star studded”  sensibility is all about giving us confidence, with pieces geared to perking up your existing wardrobe.  It’s amazing what a strip of mini studs running down your legs will do for a mere pair of palazzo pants, or the way an artfully snazzy heel on a simple pair of pumps lifts you to glamorous new heights. 

This fall, embrace all those glittering details, fabrics with a lot of sparkle and sheen, and bold metallics that speak of luxury and sheer confidence.  Channel your inner rock goddess with these glossy bits and pieces of heavenly fashion, and turn over that shiny new leaf.  It’s high time to really glow, darlings, from the inside out—so get ready to dress the part!
