Who is Danielle DiFerdinando
At the age of 18, Danielle DiFerdinando began her journey in the fashion industry. While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she also studies abroad in Europe where she apprenticed with several high-end design houses. Upon returning home, Danielle began designing, constructing and wearing her own handbags.
Since launching Danielle Nicole in 2006, she has designed collections for Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Lane Crawford and has become a favouite designer amoung celebrities including Oprah, Rihanna, Alessandra Ambrosio and Kate Hudson
We had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Danielle, Founder and Creative Director at Danielle Nicole to learn more about Danielle herself!
If you weren’t designing bags, what would you be doing?
If I wasn’t designing handbags, I would be a fashion stylist or I would be working at my father’s French Fry Company, where I would make funnel cakes, chicken tenders and corn dogs.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
The best advice I’ve ever gotten is to surround yourself with positive people. Connect yourself with other women – we are so powerful in what we can do!
What was your favourite cartoon growing up?
My favourite cartoon growing up was a Disney princess – oh, wait, is that a cartoon? Rugrats!
Share one tip for a young person thinking about becoming a designer?
Start in a company to learn the ropes, so that when you’re ready to run a company on your own, you have that experience. If you ever get discouraged, always keep going and learn from those mistakes.

I sure wish that Danielle and TSC would update the product descriptions to include which bags and wallets have RFID protection. As a customer, I don’t have much time to watch all of Danielle’s visits so it helps if the RFID protection is noted online. I’ve requested this from Danielle herself on FB and Twitter as well as Renee on FB in the past to no avail.
